Château de Vaux le Vicomte

Vaux-le-Vicomte est la création de trois artistes réunis par Nicolas Fouquet, surintendant des finances de Louis XIV: le jardinier André Le Nôtre, l’architecte Louis Le Vau et le peintre-décorateur Charles Le Brun. Issu du génie fraternel de ces trois hommes, le Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte est un modèle dont la majesté et l’équilibre inspireront le château de Versailles et l’Europe entière durant des siècles.

Aujourd'hui la famille Vogüé est un modèle d’engagement et de passion afin de préserver ce patrimoine historique et de partager ce chef d'oeuvre avec ses visiteurs.


Vaux-le-Vicomte is the creation of three artists gathered by Nicolas Fouquet, Louis XIV’s Superintendent of Finances: the gardener André Le Nôtre, the architect Louis Le Vau and the painter-decorator Charles Le Brun. Born from the brotherly genius of these three men, the château of Vaux-le-Vicomte is a model of majesty and balance which has inspired the château de Versailles and the whole Europe during centuries.
Today the Vogüé family is dedicated to preserve this Historical Monument and share this Masterpiece with its visitors.
